Omega2 is a strategy card game built around a 4×4 grid. The client approached us with the game mechanics and brand direction established — our brief was to design a visual system that felt minimalist and sophisticated, keeping the focus on strategic play.
Our design reference was Threes, 2048, and NYT Games — refined rather than cartoonish. The card system required a clear visual hierarchy between regular and multiplier cards: standard cards use a white-primary treatment, while multiplier cards invert to bold colour. Visual intensity then scales from common multipliers (×4 through ×36) up to the rare board-clearing tier (×64, ×324, ×576), giving each rarity level its own distinct feel.
